How It Works

    Read the Abbreviation

    Each puzzle shows an abbreviation where every capital letter represents the first letter of a word in the answer. Numbers stay as-is. Small words like "of", "the", "a" are written out in lowercase.

    Use the Hints

    Each puzzle tells you how many words the answer contains, and often reveals what the last word is. Use these as anchors when you're stuck.

    Reveal the Answer

    Click "Reveal Answer" when you're ready. Each puzzle page also includes a detailed explanation of the answer — the history, science, or context behind it.

    Browse Categories
