Voluntary Support

Keep the Questions Coming

If A2Z Trivia helps you learn, consider a small tip. We curate questions, fact-check, and update categories — your support keeps us going.

Why Tips Matter

A Small Tip Goes a Long Way

A2Z Trivia is ad-supported, and that is enough to keep the lights on. But tips fund the work that ads alone cannot: deeper curation, better fact-checking, and new categories that respond to what real learners ask for.

Better Question Curation

Tips let us pay editors to source and write higher-quality questions across all seven categories — not just the easy headline trivia. Deeper history, sharper science, more representative geography, real literary depth.

Faster Fact-Checking

The world changes. A question correct in 2019 may be outdated in 2026. Tips fund the human review that keeps the question bank current — checking populations, leadership, scientific consensus, and updating questions that need it.

New Categories & Themes

Want world cuisine trivia? Tech history? Renaissance art? Tips signal community demand for new categories and themed deep-dive packs. The more support we receive, the faster we can expand beyond the core seven.

30%

Fact-Checking & Updates

Reviewing existing questions for accuracy and updating those that have gone stale — populations, leaders, scientific consensus, sports records.

30%

Server Costs

Hosting, CDN, search infrastructure, and the cross-empire systems that let A2Z Trivia stay fast and reliable for everyone, everywhere, every day.

Common Questions

Tip Jar FAQ

Are tips tax-deductible?
No. A2Z Trivia is a business, not a registered nonprofit. Tips are voluntary support and should not be treated as charitable contributions for tax purposes. Keep your receipt for personal records.
Will tipping unlock premium features?
No. Tips and subscriptions are separate. If you want adaptive difficulty, spaced repetition, or AI coaching, please see our pricing page for the subscription tiers. Tips are pure thank-you, no strings attached.
Can I tip more than $10?
Yes. Use the Custom Amount option above to enter any value you choose. Larger tips are warmly appreciated but never expected. We have seen tips from $1 to $200 — every single one means something to us.
Where does the money go?
Roughly 40% funds question curation (sourcing and writing), 30% goes to fact-checking and content updates, and 30% covers server costs (hosting, CDN, search infrastructure). Full transparency.
A Note on Voluntary Support

Why the Tip Jar Exists

Some readers wonder why a site with paid premium tiers also runs a tip jar. The honest answer is: subscriptions and tips serve different people.

Subscribers Want Features

The pricing tiers exist for learners who want adaptive difficulty, spaced repetition, AI coaching, or cross-empire access. They are paying for a study system, not for charity. The monthly fee buys them measurable cognitive value.

Tippers Want to Say Thanks

The tip jar exists for the much larger group: free-tier users who get genuine value from the daily questions and want to say thank-you without committing to a subscription. We hear from learners who have used the site for years; many do not want a monthly bill but do want to give back occasionally.

Both Are Equally Valued

A $3 tip from a longtime free-tier reader is just as meaningful to us as a Pro subscription. They both signal that the work matters to a real human. The tip jar is here so that gratitude has a place to land — not because we expect anyone to use it.

Behind the Scenes

What 100 Tips Buys Us

To make this concrete: here is what a typical week of community tips actually funds. Numbers vary, but the proportions are roughly accurate.

200

New Fact-Checked Questions

A week of typical community tipping ($300-$500 in total) funds roughly 200 carefully-researched, fact-checked trivia questions across all seven categories. That is a meaningful contribution to the question bank that thousands of learners benefit from for years.

3

Themed Deep-Dive Packs

The All-Access “member-only quizzes” require real editorial work — a single deep-dive themed pack (50+ questions on a single topic, with explanations and citations) costs us about 8 editor hours. Three themed packs per week means All-Access subscribers always have fresh material.

~5%

Server Headroom

Our hosting bill is small but real. A week of tips contributes about 5% of the empire-wide infrastructure cost (CDN, search, image storage, AI inference for the coaching tier). Modest, but it adds up across many weeks and lets us keep prices low for paid subscribers.

Thank You for Reading This Far

Whether you tip or not, the fact that you cared enough to read the page already says something. A2Z Trivia exists because real humans value learning, and you are one of them. Keep being curious — we will keep writing questions worth answering.
